Mentone Relay Day Parent Info

Hi Mentone LAC Families,

We’ve had a wonderful response to Mentone Relay Day again this season, with most of our athletes competing on Sunday. It's going to be great day, so a big thanks to all of you for getting involved. Please be advised there is no regular competition on Saturday.

Mentone Parent Duties - please click here for the UPDATED Mentone Relay Day Parent Roster. This roster will also be available on the Mentone Relay Day website event page imminently (link below). Thank you in advance for your support and cooperation - we can't host such a massive event without everyone's help. We have been lucky enough to secure a number of our former athletes to assist with support roles during the day allowing us to reduce the number of support sessions for parents of multiple children. As you can appreciate pulling a roster together of this magnitude is extremely complex. If for some reason you require a different duty time, can you please contact the families in your age group in the first instance to arrange a swap and then advise any changes.

U8 parents a massive thanks for offering your time to support the day. Due to the U8s only having one event we have decided to not schedule any U8 parents for duties.

Timetable - Mentone Relay Day Timetable

Call Room - opens 30 mins before the event.  The call room is located behind the equipment sheds. Please check in with your Team Managers when you arrive at the track. Our Mentone Team Tents will be set up near Shotput 2. For those participants that will be there all day don't forget to pack rugs/chairs.

Uniform - Centre uniforms are preferred and Coles patches required. U9+ families this is a great opportunity to get the hang of the unform requirements before the Regional Carnival the following weekend. The attached link provides more details on these requirements LAVic-Centre-Uniform-Booklet

Parents' Relay Race - Held at lunch time, so we need some of our speediest parents to take part and represent our Centre!

U6 and U7 Shuttle Relay - we're looking forward to seeing all our littlest athletes out on the track at 10.50am.

Food - we have a sausage sizzle, food trucks, coffee and ice cream vans running during the day as well as lollies and drinks available from our canteen.

If you or your athletes are unwell and can no longer participate, please let your Team Managers and the comp email know.

Full event details can be found on our website Mentone Relay Day

Best of luck to all your little athletes this weekend and please reach out to your Team Managers if you have any questions

Go Mentone!
