CROSS COUNTRY SEASON
Running Cross Country is a great way to maintain your fitness over winter. The Cross Country season starts in April and runs through to early August.
Please keep your chest patches from the summer season - they're needed for Cross Country.

Saturday Cross Country events are run by Bayside Cross Country and Seaford Little Athletics, and are open to all U6-U17 Athletes.
In addition to the regular Saturday competitions, there will be 3 LAVic XC events this season - State Cross Country Relays, Region Cross Country Carnivals and State Cross Country Championships. All U9-U17 Mentone members from the previous season are eligible to participate in LAVic/Regional Cross Country events - you don't actually have to be registered for the Cross Country season to enter these special events.
Cross Country Relays are run in teams of 3 runners. If your child is interested but you're not sure how to get a team together, please contact Sophie or mentone@lavic.com.au and we'll try to help.
Mentone is affiliated with both Bayside Cross Country and Seaford Cross Country for regular Saturday morning XC sessions:

Your summer Little Aths membership covers part of the cost of the following Winter's regular Saturday morning Cross Country sessions.

U11/U12 - 2km
